Our second quarter at La Molina Christian Schools ended with a
BANG!
All of our students (over 200) dressed up in the typical costumes
of the different regions of Peru (jungle, mountain and coast) or as a
hero from the past. With over 500 parents and friends watching, the
students presented a quick overview of Peruvian history, honoring those
who died to give us the liberty we have today. The program ended with
one of our 10th grade boys dressed as Diego Thomson, who used the Bible
to teach the natives to read. Alejandro showed from the Bible how we
can have true liberty today through Jesus Christ. The evening finished
with an awesome fireworks display. Pray that those people who heard the
Gospel would accept Christ as their personal Saviour.
We had the privilege of having a family from one of our supporting churches visit
us for 10 days. We were able to take them around to see different interesting sights
here, including a visit to the Manchay church and a trip up to the mountain town
where Kathy's dad started several churches. Please know that you also are welcome
to come visit us! We would love to show you around.
The missionary Pastor that we were replacing in Manchay is back now. Please pray that
the Manchay church will adjust well to all the changes again, and that the people will
work as a team to reach the other people in Manchay.
Thank you again for your support and prayers,
